The Blacklist & Nicholl Fellowship honour THE LAST SURRENDER

Exciting news from the contest circuit. The Last Surrender script was posted on the Blacklist and has been in the top 10 scripts for the past three months! Got as high as ranked number two on the list, so that is a fantastic endorsement of the script’s quality. Also, the script was submitted to this year’s Academy Awards Nicholl Fellowship and recently reached the Quarterfinal round. As per the academy email: “Your screenplay, The Last Surrender, advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 2022 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. By doing so, yours is one of only 359 entries to emerge from the 5,526 screenplays submitted. Congratulations!” The script is also sitting in the top 4% of all scripts submitted via Coverfly.

This adds to the growing list of an already stellar collection of endorsements: including the Humanitas New Voices Fellowship FINALIST, Scriptapalooza SEMIFINALIST, Emerging Screenwriters SEMIFINALIST, Los Angeles Screenwriting awards SEMIFINALIST, Final Draft’s Big Break QUARTERFINALIST, and New Zealand Film Commission’s Seed Funding award. It is also up for several fellowships that can’t currently be announced, but will be revealed in the month’s to come.

Currently the script is still available for option, however several production companies are circling the property and expressing interest. If you would like a copy or to read the script, please reach out via contact or you can find it on The Blacklist here: THE LAST SURRENDER
