A WARNING FROM THE INTERGALACTIC FEDERATION OF ZOOKEEPERS: Please, do not feed the humans! They are prone to obesity and foul winds. These seven unique specimens were selected for their diversity and social demographics. They live in a specially cultivated ecosystem formulated for your comedy enjoyment. If you’re lucky, you may see the sexing. *Rain ponchos are available for mating season.
Some exciting news coming out of LaLa Land. My half hour spec comedy pilot, ZOO-MANS!, is a Finalist in Final Draft’s Big Break Screenwriting contest. Just announced as a TOP 3 finalist in the Half-Hour Pilots category. This is an incredible honour considering they receive over 16,000 entries per year! That puts Zoo-mans in the top 1% of all scripts written.
This is the FIFTH major contest or accolade Zoo-Mans! has acquired. It’s list of laurels includes, Second-Rounder status at this year’s Austin Film Festival, Coverfly top 1% genre/format, Semi-finalist Screncraft's comedy competition, Second-Rounder in Launch Pad Pilot competition and Quarter-finalist at Slamdance.
Zoo-Man’s logline: Abducted by bizarre aliens near Jupiter and thrown in with a ragtag, 90s-sitcom-like group of human misfits, a young woman is determined to go back to her real life on Earth, but she has no idea the humans are being observed by alien overlords and being consumed as alien reality TV entertainment.
